Our Tummy Tonic Tea is a powerful, yet gentle belly aid which is an ideal natural solution for supporting proper digestion, soothing nausea, belly aches and heartburn. We infused our Tummy Tonic Tea with a heat resistant beneficial bacteria, also known as a probiotic, which can help restore the gut microflora with beneficial bacteria. Depending what we eat, drink and the medicines we take, and the quality of our food, our gut bacteria can become putrid, inspiring an upset belly, indigestion, increased flatulence, changes in stool, and even low mood fluctuations. Probiotics have the ability to help balance some of these issues. We start our Tummy Tonic Tea with nausea fighting Ginger, belly soothing Peppermint and Spearmint, calming Chamomile for dispelling gas, indigestion relieving Lemon Balm, digestion supporting Lemon Peel, and then blend in soothing mucilaginous herbs like Licorice root, Marshmallow root and Slippery Elm. We also add in high quality Ceylon Cinnamon, which is known for decreasing stomach acid and pepsin, reducing gas, raising pH, lowering metabolic heat and cooling down the stomach. We finish by adding 50 billion probiotic organisms to each Sampler tin, 150 billion for the Large tin and 300 billion for the XL tin.‡
Our medicinal loose leaf tea blends are effective for a range of medicinal uses, and they all taste amazing. Even the ones with the least tasty herbs, because we focus on a fulfilling blend that meets our medicinal intentions and expectations, as well as our taste palates. We use only clean and sifted certified organic herbs and a few wildcrafted mushrooms in our recipes.

About our probiotic: Bacillus Coagulans is shelf-stable and heat-tolerant probiotic. The probiotic spores are activated when they find the right combination of pH, temperature, and pressure in the gut. These attributes make it an ideal type of beneficial bacteria for tea as it won't be harmed in the steeping process. It grows optimally at temperatures of 130 degrees Fahrenheit or 50-55 degrees Celsius, so the spores remain dormant at the boiling temperature of water, and are not killed, yet will grow again once the conditions are right for them in the gut. We are herbalists and not doctors, so be sure to consult with your doctor prior to use. We source Bacillus Coagulans from a Texas-based nutrition company which is tested prior to packaging to be sold to us in bulk. The package information states: Bacillus Coagulans, L-Sporogenes Pro-Biotics - Potency tests at 50 billion organisms per gram. Carrier: Non-GMO Corn Starch. USA Certificate of Analysis: Approved. Produces Lactic Acid, No interaction with food or herbs. Spores are digestive acid stable. Kosher, non-GMO, gluten free, vegan-friendly, lab grown probiotic.
Size: Sampler tin holds 0.68oz (19 grams) or 10-15 tea cups and contains 50 billion probiotic organisms. Large 2.3oz (67 grams) or about 30-45 tea cups and contains 150 billion probiotic organisms. XL 4.1oz (116 grams) or about 60-90 tea cups and contains 300 billion probiotic organisms.

Add honey and sugar to taste. Drink once per day as needed. For severe or chronic cases, a higher probiotic count might be recommended by your physician.
