FolkCraft Series is a collection of hands-on herbal workshops designed for all skill levels. Rooted in folk tradition and guided by the joy of learning through making, each session offers a simple, approachable way to connect with the plants and create something useful, beautiful, and practical to take home. From teas, salves, and perfumes to seasonal remedies and other botanical creations, FolkCraft brings herbal wisdom to life through direct experience. No prior knowledge is needed—just curiosity, a willingness to work with your hands, and a love for the old skills that still have so much to offer today.
Herbal Pain Relief: Liniments, Salves & Recovery Care
Learn practical herbal approaches for sore muscles, bumps, bruises, strains, overworked joints, and everyday aches. In this hands-on workshop, students will make their own fast-acting herbal liniment to take home, watch a full demonstration on crafting herbal pain relief salve, and leave with a sample of the finished salve as well. We’ll also discuss immediate response to minor injuries, when to reach for liniments, salves, compresses, and poultices, and how herbs can support comfort, circulation, inflammation response, and recovery. Rooted in the old household ways of tending the body with plants, warmth, pressure, oils, and care, this larger 1.5-hour workshop offers useful, real-world herbal skills for the inevitable aches, strains, and healing moments of everyday life.
